TEENS SPANISH PROGRAM
The Spanish language is becoming increasingly globalized. Give your teenagers the gift of learning this beautiful language to widen their future employment potential, enhance their travel experiences, and to develop a better understanding of the Hispanic culture and tradition. Our school offers two paths to language learning: Heritage Spanish and Spanish as a Foreign Language. Every learner will be placed accordingly.
Spanish for Teens 1 (ages 10 - 12)
1.5 h classes are offered once a week. Work on the Spanish alphabet, phonemic awareness, word formation, writing and reading skills. Authentic reading resources help incorporate new vocabulary and develop more advanced language proficiency. Video and songs continue to be used to engage students, and to help fix different language functions. This class is recommended for kids from Hispanic origin, kids that have completed our grade 1, or kids that show comparable language knowledge.

​Language is presented through different thematic units of interest to students within the age group. A variety of resources are used to support learning in general, provide a meaningful language experience, and make the process more engaging: audio & video, graded readers, games, interactive online activities.
