¡Hola y bienvenidos! My name is Karina Marenales and I am the founder of Spanish4you Canada and one of the teachers at our school. Spanish4You is the result of over twenty years of experience in the field of education and a passion for facilitating language learning. My teaching career started long ago in my native country Argentina. As an English as a Foreign Language teacher, I delivered English lessons with a strong focus on communication. Upon my arrival to Canada, I looked for ways to continue gaining expertise in the field. I taught English as a Second Language to new immigrants in the country and I designed my first Spanish curriculums to address the needs of travelling Canadians and Canadians in the Latin American business sector. The opportunity to teach so many different learners with diverse language goals, has helped me develop tools and strategies that best promote language learning and language acquisition. My teaching techniques have been refined through continuing professional development. I hold a Diploma in ELE (Spanish as a Foreign Language teaching), a Certificate in ESL Adult Education, and studies in Linguistics. This solid academic background, together with my passion and commitment to the teaching practice make a great language instructor.
